I just downloaded PH to try to set it up as an Insteon-x10 translator for updating addresses on my Stargate. I was using a simplehomenet ezbridge, but that device seems to have died (ethernet interface is dead). So I plugged the plm into my pc and had PH discover links. Communication seemed to be ok, but then it sent me an error window saying the PLM was version 62 and it needed to talk to a version 63 or higher device. Is this fatal (i.e., do I need to purchase a new plm), or is there a work-around for this problem?

Thanks for your help

Mitch

Mitch,

There is a work-around for this issue. Open your pwrhome.ini file (default located in c:\program files\powerhome) and locate the [PLM] section. Change the pre63=0 to pre63=1. Restart PowerHome and you will be able to use your firmware version 62 PLM.

Dave.

Thanks! Can you also tell me if there is a way to upload Insteon links that are stored in a file and write them to devices - can PH do that?
