Does PowerHome support the Powerlinc V2 USB (Smarthome Catalog #: 2414U) that has been out for a while now?
That's all I have (several in customer homes); and, wanted to see about switching from HomeSeer and HouseLinc to PowerHome; but, testing in our office, I'm not getting PowerLinc V2 USB to show up to PowerHome.
Thanks,
- Rob

Welcome to the forum.
I use the 2414U. In setup, under Controlloers you select Insteon DM as the controller type.

I tried that; but, I keep getting a screen asking me to set a COM port number and retry amount...which are both set to 0 when the screen pops up.
Does the Smarthome SDM talk to USB, but link up into a COMM Port Driver? To make the USB devices look to HouseLinc, HomeSeer, PowerHome as a Serial Device, to keep everything compatible with the older Serial PowerLincs?
Thanks for the assist?
By the by, I also tried changing the COM number, to no avail.
Thanks,
- Rob

Hmm....I think the COM screen was coming up because I didn't fill in the ID field with anything. Now it seems to be ok.
Haven't gotten so far as to spider my home network; but, I have to leave to go to a customer's home.
Maybe give it another whirl tonight.
Thanks,
- Rob

Oh...and had to launch SimpleHomeNet's Utility Suite in order to get SmartHome's SDM to launch and place its icon in the tray.
Wonder why PowerHome didn't do that; since, it's already installed on my PC? For SHN Utility or Homeseer, either will laund SDM.
Or perhaps, I'm actually not yet communicating with my PLC?
