Is it difficult to get this item working with PowerHome?

Raven,
You should be able to control the SimpleHomeNet devices using PowerHome without a problem. However, you'll most likely have to make the links manually for now.
I will be trying to get this manual linking process made simpler in the next version coming very soon (which should have been out a couple of weeks ago ).
Additionally, I spoke to Al at CES (the genius who runs SimpleHomeNet) and we I'll be working to add direct support for his products to PowerHome very soon.
