Hi all,
I have been trying to get this idea out of my head but no dice:
I would like to make something that reacts when a temporary loss of light (sudden build-up of clouds e.g.) causes PH to switch the lights on... I have been thinnking of an LDR connect to an SM10 but I don't want the lights to flicker when lightlevel is near the limit...
any ideas on this?

What about using the dusk/dawn sensor on a Hawkeye (X10 motion detector) or similar?

I have been thinking about that but the dusk/dawn sensor is not adjustable, what I want is that during the day when the light level becomes too low, the lights turn on even if it is for 5 or 10 minutes....

I have seen a 1-wire "solar sensor" around the boards before that would seem to do what you want.

Yes something like that, I was able to find a partlist..
