I'm trying to make my homemade alarm less prone to false
trips. My system now is very simple - it just increments
a global variable called motion_count every time one of
my motion sensors triggers. If my away flag is set and
the motion count exceeds 10 it triggers a text message to
my cell phone and some other goofy stuff.

When I was away over new years I had a trip that I was
pretty sure was false. In fact I had access to the
internet at the time and I was able to confirm that all
the motion trips came from the same detector. The
apparent cause was very low battery.

What I want to do is increment an alarm count only if I
get consecutive trips from different motion detectors
indicating that indeed someone is moving about in the
house.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
