I'm really impressed with the PowerHome software. It's making my Insteon installation much easier than it would be otherwise. I can't imagine all the running around and button pushing that would be required to do what I've done so far and I'm only up to about 20 devices.

I've run across a few flakey Insteon modules and changed my mind about the location of KPLs and SwitchLinc Dimmers so the "Rebuild", "Reverify", and "Replace Device" functions are greatly appreciated.

If it's not already a feature that I haven't found, I'd like to request that the "Replace Device" function also update device references in the Triggers, Macros, Timed Events, etc.

Colin,

It doesnt currently do it, but it can be added. In the meantime, you could also change the Device ID either before replacing or after replacing so you wouldnt have to do this. Also, you can use the "Database where used" report to help you locate where changes need to be made until the functionality is added.

Keep in mind, that I can do this for all the fields where the Device ID is specifically called out but wouldnt be able to update where you've directly called it out in functions (such as ph_insteon, etc.).

Dave.
