I'm running Windows 2003 server and would like to try PowerHome on this version of windows. Anyone have any ideas on how to get PowerHome to install on 2003 or if there will be an update.

PowerHome should install without a problem on Windows 2003 Server. Im pretty sure that Ive talked to a couple of people using it.

What kind of problem is it giving? Are you getting an error during installation? Or does it install and you have a problem while running it?

If it's an installation issue, I'll check for updates for InstallShield Express and see if that takes care of it.

 Let me know,

 Dave.

The problem with Windows 2003 is with MDAC (at least it was for me). If I remember correctly, the version of MDAC that comes with PowerHome is older than that in Windows 2003. You created a test build for me without MDAC and it installed fine. I've been running PowerHome on Windows 2003 for a few months now without any problems.

If you can make the installation of MDAC an option in future builds of PowerHome, that would probably be a good thing.

Ive added the link for the no MDAC version to the download page. You can also get it from here: http://www.power-home.com/download/ph10343full_nomdac.exe.

I'll also work on this for the next beta.

MDAC was the problem, the new downlaod installs just fine.

Excellent...for future installs, I'll either have a no MDAC version or figure out a way to selectively install it from the main installation.
