A bug exists in the PowerHome version 1.02.1 upgrade utility if you are upgrading from a version prior to database version 1.01.1.  If you have kept up with the PowerHome upgrades, you should not have a problem.  The Utility only has a problem if your database version is prior to version 1.01.1.  If this is the case, you can download the corrected PHUPG.EXE from the Other Downloads page.  If you have already executed the faulty Upgrade utility and received an error, then you will have to rename your "pwrhome.XXX.db" file back to "pwrhome.db" before running the corrected utility.

Dave.

I have tried this new upgrade utility but I am still getting an error message: Powerhome is currently running. Please exit powerhome and restart. Powerhome is not running. Tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling but the same result.

I have tried using the utility but have been unsuccessful, still geting error message that powerhome is running. Can I install the Latest version of Powerhome without upgrading and still keep my current lic? I will rebuild the database.
Thanks

Wow!!  That is an old version.  The error message you are getting is most likely due to you launching the upgrade utility from a folder named "PowerHome".  The upgrade utility searches for any open windows labeled "PowerHome" and assumes that PowerHome is currently running.  Try launching the upgrade utility by clicking on the "Start" button and selecting "Run...".  This should get you past the "PowerHome is already running" message.

If this still doesnt work...you have two options.  You can install the new version and start from scratch.  Just email me your new reg number and I'll send you the unlock key.  Or...you can email me your current database file and I'll manually upgrade it for you if you don't want to lose any of your setup.

Since you are upgrading from an older database, be sure and read the upgrade notes for any manual changes you may have to make.

Let me know how it goes and what I can do to help you.

Dave.
