I think the versions are too far apart for the upgrade utility to work correctly (in a previous post, Dave suggested that you send him your DB).
Hopefully, he'll respond soon; I think he's been swamped trying to get the latest version out.

I sure am .
Anyways, the mismatched version message means that the upgrade program did not successfully overwrite the phfn.pbd file. Im not sure why this is (could be marked read-only) etc, but Ive heard at least a couple of other users with this problem.
Easy enough to fix though, just delete the current phfn.pbd file in your PowerHome directory and then reinstall the new version. If for some reason you get another mismatched version, you can delete that file as well and repeat. To save yourself some time however, I would just go ahead and delete all files ending in pbd (phdw.pbd, phfn.pbd, phuo.pbd, phwin.pbd, phdd.pbd) as well as the pwrhome.exe file. Install the latest version and then you should be ready to run the database upgrade util.
Tony is correct, your version is so old, you may encounter database upgrade issues. If that happens, you can send me your database file and I'll upgrade it for you. First thing though is to correct the version mismatch above. Once that's done, you can try the database util. Depending upon your setup, it may work just fine.
Let me know,
Dave.

First thing I tried was to move the file to another directory (delete would have been too risky). Re-installed and magically the file re-appears. Unfortunately the error message didn't disappear, NO change. I am using the database you sent me. Hard to believe that the DBs are the problem given the speed the error message appears. Database upgrade utility says I'm cool. Going to try a clean re-install this morning. . .

Clean install worked, PH started up. I then overwrote powerhone.ini and powerhome.db (in database sub-directory) with the Dave modified files. I now get an ODBC Configuration dialog box. Real persistant thing, and picky too. What is it? How do I make it happy? Fishing for a clue here!
