I saw on a website you can modify the MS13A by taking out the light dependant resistor and soldering in a magnetic reed switch. You now, for a door sensor. Well I also modified the one in the main bathroom to sense water on the floor,DARN KIDS . For the time being it only fires a macro to alert us of the issue. Right now I am looking into installing a soleniod to stop the water flow. My question is do these solenoids have power to them all of the time? I want to put in a N.O. When power is applied to it, it closes.
I also modified the bedroom MS13A's, by placing them by the window. I removed the light dependant resistor and soldered in, in series glass break tape and a magnetic reed switch. Now I can tell if the glass is broke OR the window is open. Now I just got to find out how to make the wires more decorative, or hidden.
By the way, Anyone got any other x10 mods that are useful?

This is one project I plan to execute the next year but I was not able to confirm if this would work... Heatsensing for the kitchen and the mod for the following:

My gardendoor opens outwards and there is also the shutter. So I want to make it that when the gardendoor is open, A command to close the shutter is ignored for obvious reasons. Did you make photos of your mod?
