I got 2 new Dual-Band SwitchLincs and after installing them one of my KPLs
is stuck in what appears to be a reboot cycle. The light that is physically
connected to the KPL dims on and then snaps off. The KPL makes a buzzing
noise while it is dimming on and then a click when it snaps off. The LEDs on
the the KPL stay glowing the entier time. The only way to stop it is to pull the
little tab cutting power to the KPL. The KPL is on the same breaker as one of
the new SwitchLincs so it did lose power while the breaker was off.

I had another SwitchLinc that becomes unresponsive (both to PowerHome
and pushing the toggle on the switch) after a few hours now as well. Pulling
the little tab to cut power to it for a few seconds fixes the problem for a few
 hours.

I had never had problems like this before installing these 2 new SwitchLincs. Any ideas what would cause this and if there is any way to fix it?

Interesting. I had a very similar issue 2 days ago. I
installed a new dual-band switchlinc to replace an
original switchlinc in my bedroom. It's linked to an old
KPLs in the bedroom. I swapped the new dual-band
switchlinc for the old switchlinc because of paddle
 issues.

The new dual-band switchlinc worked well for a couple of
weeks. 2 days ago when my wife was turning off the new
switchlinc, all the lights went off in the bedroom (all
linked to the KPL) and the KPL lost all power. No lights
were lite on the KPL and it was completely dead. I
pressed in the reset button on the KPL and it came back
to life, however with no links . I loaded all the links
into the KPL from PH and now all is well again.

But I am sure this is more than a coincidence. I
wondering whether there is something wrong with the
firmware in the new dual-band switchlinc.

I just noticed there is a patch for PH that I
haven't installed yet. Could that be the
 problem?

I believe I have the latest PH patches installed. I doubt
it's a PH problem. Most likely a switchlinc problem. But
I wonder how we can check.
