I can't believe I haven't tried this yet, but last night for the first time I was trying
to get PH to turn on a group where I have different brightness levels for individual
devices. If I recall correctly (I'm at work now, so I am trying to remember what I did
last night), I tried setting up a group on the PLM where I set the desired lamp level for
each device to something like 180. Then I tried using the ph_insteongroup() command to
turn it on, but the lights always went to full bright. I also tried setting the local
lamp level at the actual switch, thinking the group-on command would then work, but it
did not. Tonight I am going to give it another try, but I figured I'd ask the smart guys
here what are the steps to having PH activate a scene with different lamp levels for each
device in that group?

By the way, it seems that I have difficulty using the PLM to control individual devices.
I have better luck controlling them with group commands. Is that normal for PLMs?

Unfortunately I have lost my primary PC so I cannot give the exact column heading.   It is in the Responder (of current device) section. Something like DLevel and DRamp for Desired level and ramp rate. Once Saved the changes will be written into the responder. Each responder in the Group can have different values. There are ALevel and ARamp for Actual level and ramp rate. As I said the exact column heading my be wrong but there are a pair of Dxxxx columns for the Desired values and a pair of Axxxx columns for the Actual (current) values.

EDIT: there should be no difference in reliabllity between Insteon Direct commands and Insteon Group commands as far as the PLM is concerned.
