I normally use the full Powerhome program for setting up Insteon addresses in Elk but was trying to help a friend to quickly transfer his addresses to Elk using the Powerhome Elk to Insteon Loader only (the stand alone program).
The instructions at the top of the loader say to type in the addresses, however, the cursor will not open any column in that area to enter anything.
The program looks pretty simple but I can not get it to even open a column let alone type anything into it. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
After launching the ElkInsteon.exe, the first thing you'll want to do is either click the "Read INI" button or the "Read M1XSP" button (if doing Read M1XSP, make sure that you've selected the proper controller type and COM port first). If this is a fresh setup and the M1XSP is not already configured, then you'll probably want to do a "Read INI". Once you've done this, you'll have the rows and columns available for editing.
Hope this helps,
Dave.

When I click on Read INI, the first 3 entries are labeled Test 1,2 and 3. Also very few of the entries list the description that I entered in Powerhome. Is there any way to bring in the descriptions which will make it much more usable?
Thanks
Jim
