I'm using PH2 and I've looked through the forum for a resolution to this.
I've recently tried to run PH2 as service. It works for everything except for the TTS engine. I have no errors starting or stopping the service and I've tried the activex registration, but it still will not work. I even created a trigger that fires the "ph register activex" function on PH startup. This was an attempt to see if when PH2 runs as a service it would register the activex controls.
Any ideas?

Mark,
Does the TTS work when PowerHome is not run as a service? If so, then it most likely is a problem with the System user that is used when running services.
One thing you can try is running the sapi5setup.exe from within PowerHome when PH is run as a service. You can get this file here: http://power-home.com/download/sapi5setup.exe. To execute it, run PH as a service, open the Multi-Editor, switch to PH Formula mode (shift-F6), and type the following: ph_run("sapi5setup.exe"). Make sure the sapi5setup.exe is in the PH directory.
See where this gets you.
Dave.
