I just received a motion sensor (three, actually, but I'm just testing one for now) and a RemoteLink and am attempting to set them up in PowerHome2. Everything appears to work, but for some reason, PH2 is trying to poll them.
Since they are "controllers only", why is PH2 trying to poll them? Every communication fails in this case...

After a few tries the device will be marked with a red shaded Clear Comm column and PH will stop talking to it. Oops, that is the Clear Failed column, not the Clear Comm column. If you decide to add more links to the RemoteLinc I think you will have to check the Clear Failed box for the device to restore communications for more link activity. After new links are established and the device times out again, the communication will fail again and the Clear Failed column will be marked red again and PH will stop talking to the device.
EDIT: being a Controller only does not mean it cannot be polled. The RF based devices are unique because the receive part of the device times out to save battery life.

OK, I was "right" for the "wrong" reason... the issue remains, though, that they are off more often than they are on, and polling them doesn't make sense to me.
I did click the "disabled" column for these devices... I'm assuming that this won't cause any issues... will it? The devices, of course, work, since they still communicate with the system, but they won't get polled (I think?).

PH will not initiate communication to a disabled device. Not sure if that will interfere with things like triggers based on messages from a disabled device. I don't think it will bother triggers but I let PH drop communication after a few failures when the device times out rather than actually marking it disabled.
