Tonight I had the pleasure of testing out a new enhancement to the best web based video camera application, I have ever found, "webcamXP" at www.webcamxp.com.
At my request, the author of webcamXP has added a Windows Messaging action [Wow! Another SW author that is as awesome as Dave!] to the motion sensing security capabilities of this video application.
Now in addition to the many actions which can be triggered by sound or motion, a trigger can also be directly sent to PH, thus causing lights/alarms/etc to be activated when activity is detected.
The trigger connection between PH and webcamXP is extremely easy to set up (assuming both applications are running on the same server) and the two applications integrate together quite well.
I have set up a home web page, running on the PH web server that gives me some critical environmental conditions from PH as well as video feeds from webcamXP.
These two programs are a natural blend of capabilities, in my opinion.

Good idea!
Will be glad to post a How To.
When we travel, this home view is super comforting to have, as I set my PocketPhone's browser home page to be my site where I can easily check in and see what is happening, as well as view a snapshot of the house and freezer temps (we lost a huge amount of meat a year ago when a power brownout caused a freezer motor to die. The rot was so bad when we got home that we had to throw throw the freezer out. It was beyond cleaning!).
At the top of the left frame of my home page I have an "automation" link that takes me to the PH home page where I can see a snapshot of my lighting conditions and temps, as well as control it all. As I learn more about PH this could be more fancy with a Controller page, but for now this simple approach gives me everything I need.

Peter - As you can see I did publish this in this Forum but what is the "repository" and how do I publish there, or does Dave have to do some magic?

Peter -
Dank u (Thanks) for the kudo! I used to tech write manuals for complicated leading edge electronics and personally used to get so frustrated with writers whose efforts assumed too much familiarity with the subject, leaving their audience in the dust. I always figured it was better to overexplain, because if you didn't need it you could skip it, but if there was not enough detail, then readers were SOOL.
The phrase I always hated most was "It can be shown..." In response, my montra was "Then show me."
I've done a write-up for the installation of the Insteon Thermoststat, but am waiting for Dave to release it now in the next beta.
