Can I choose the sound device for PH?

My computer has two sound cards and a USB headset. One of the sound cards is set in 'Control Panel' as the default device. The other is used by Winamp feeding the stereo system.
The PowerHome sounds (used for alarm system messages, door gong and such) are played through the headset for some reason. Can this be changed?

thanks

Jos,

Not currently. PowerHome uses the default sound device for all of it's sound functions.

However, I'll do some research and see if this is something that I can add in a future release.

Dave.

sorry,
I didn't properly explain.
Here's my problem. PowerHome isn't using the default device. The default device is the build-in sound card, but PowerHome uses the USB headset.
I tried changing the default device to the USB headset, restarting PowerHome and testing the sound output (still Headset).
Changing the default device back to the build-in sound card, and restarting PowerHome didn't help either.
PowerHome always uses the headset as output device.

suggestions?

If you're talking about TTS, you can assign a device in windows control panel.

Brady,

thanks for your suggestion.
I am using ph_playsound to play a sound, so TTS shouldn't make a difference. It was set to the build-in sound card anyway.
I'm afraid that's not it.

Don’t know if this has anything to do with it but what app is the default for playing WAV files? And what does that app use for the sound device?

The default app for WAV files is Winamp and it uses one of the sound cards as the sound device. (That is how I play music: PowerHome controls Winamp, playing through a Sounblaster Audigy sound card)
Good thought, but that's not the problem I think.

thanks
