So I decided to play with Powerhome today. I installed it, and for some period of time I had both Houselinc Desktop and Powerhome open as I copied my setup from one to the other.

PH is a powerful program, and I have a lot of questions, which are posted in another thread. When I was done, I exited both programs, and rebooted my PC. I did not use ANY PLC-setup options in PH.

Now HD is broken, which is BAD, because I don't have PH in shape to replace it.

Specifically. I can direct-control anything from HD. However, when it fires a timer or event, the status just says "firing" and locks up, the module never gets the appropriate signal.

I can't re-install HD because I don't want to use the latest version (buggy). I did NOT let PH download a new TimerApp. (running 1.01.88.235). I think if it was the TImerApp I wouldn't have Direct Control?

I know it sounds like a HD problem, but it was caused by running PH, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask in -both- forums...

any/all thoughts appreciated - might have to try restoring my PC to it's last image backup (sigh).

I wonder if the PLC is screwed up.. You might bring up the SDM by it self and do a "sendHardReset" using SDM to the PLC and then bring up HD.

thanks BBum - right now I'm limping along on PH (seems to be handing timed events ok). If Mr. Howard responds to my other post, maybe I'll be converted over and won't have to solve it. This is part of why I'm converting anyway, HD isn't really mission-critical SW.
