All,
Ive checked into the problems with the forum lately and have tracked it down to the email notification. Without email notification, posting on the forum is nearly instantaneous.
So, to try to fix the situation, Ive switched from the ASPMail client to the only other one offered by my hosting service, CDOSYS. So far, it seems to be working much better.

It sure is. I can now logon to the forum and actually answer posts without it taking half a day  .
