Hello,

I have PH running on Windows Server 2003. I'm running the latest version and I love it.

I've got a USB PLC and it's very picky about working. On a reboot of the machine I have about a 50% chance that I will get a "Smarthome Device Manager ISRESPONDING command failed for PLC INSTEON CONTROLLER. Attempting to restart controller...". It never seems to restart. The only solution I have found is to shut the server down, reboot the PLC and then restart the machine.

Is there anything I can do (short of running it on a differant machine which I am loath to do) to make this work better?

Thanks.

I'm running PH (also latest .11 build) on W2K3 as well using a USB Insteon PLC. I'm not experiencing the problem you have mentioned at all. I have problems with the SDM locking up from time to time, but it seems a lot of people have that problem.

If you are connected to a USB hub, try connecting to a USB port on the PC and bypass the hub. Maybe it has something to do with the specific firmware version you have on your PLC. I hate to suggest a new install of Windows 2003. Anything in the Windows event logs dealing with USB? I can't think of anything else.
