All,

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on some changes in the next version of PowerHome.

ID columns will only except Letter, numbers, dashes, underscores, and spaces. This is a major change but is necessary in order handle some of the new functionality being made available. Most people probably are using only the above characters already so hopefully it won't be that bad. In my own setup, out of all of my ID's, I only had to change two where I was using a '/' and a '+'. I will provide a report tool to help you locate ID's that don't fall into the specifications. Once you know the ID's, then you can use the "Where Used" report to find all instances of the bad ID's and correct them.

The "Immediate" / "Queued" option for triggers is also going away. All triggers will now fire as "Queued". This will solve alot of problems with PowerHome and triggers hanging. However, a there are a very few instances where the "Immediate" option was useful or even necessary for proper trigger operation. You will still be able to get achieve the same "Immediate" functionality by placing certain code in the "Boolean" field. If anyone has triggers that absolutely dependent upon the "Immediate" functionality, post here and let me know and I'll work with you to update them to use "Queued" and the "Boolean" field so they will be compatible with the next version.

Dave.
