If your in a macro using Powerhome Explorer you should
be able double click the formula and then click on
Verify to check the functionality of that formula. There
must be a setting somewhere I stepped on to cause it not
to work.

Peter - From the formula builder box, (I was having
trouble figuring out what you were referring too), I use
the "Verify" function all the time as I build up specific
formulas.
I have been able to do this will all versions of PH. I
have never seen a way to turn it off (no where in the PH
setup screen nor is it in the .ini config file).
Maybe a .DB corruption issue? Did you try the phupg.exe
trick to clean up your .DB file.
This may be a question for Dave. Sorry I am not much
help.

Thanks for your the reply on PM also. I do believe it
may be DB corruption and I have run phupg and looked in
the ini to no avail. I have no idea where Dave is
hiding.... I do get a trace entre if there a syntax
error but nothing in the Verify box.
Pete

Pete,
OMG, how've you been? Havent heard from you in a while.
When you say the "Verify" doesnt work, do you mean it returns a wrong answer or doesnt return anything at all? Can you post a
sample formula that is not working properly for you?
Older versions of PowerHome used to have a popup window when you hit the "Verify" button. More recent versions show up in the
bottom half of the split window. Im wondering if maybe you've collapsed your bottom half of the window so the results are no
longer visible. If this is the case, you should be able to position your mouse at the bottom of the formula window until it
changes to a double vertical arrow and then click and drag up until you can see the bottom pane.
Let me know,
Dave.

Well damn, talk about a long time.. Where have you been??
Out on a sabbatical? Ok this problem has got to be real
simple to fix. I double click a formula and in the window
I click on Verify and it does not show a return code. It
acts like if it is a good one as in syntax but if I force
a syntax error it logs on the event log. So far I have
not been able to pinpoint when it started. I first saw it
in the latest release but it may have been earlier. I
tried an older database but to no avail. I have run
phupg.exe over and over. When I double click the formula
it brings up "Formula Builder".
