Are the Insteon bulbs currently compatible with PH? I saw these on Amazon and they would be easier to buy one or two at a time to help fill in some gaps in my network since I have a number of older single band items.

lizaoreo,

Yes, those bulbs are compatible with PowerHome. They
work pretty well as long as you're not installing them
inside cans (unless they've changed something
recently).
Most of the ones I bought ended up failing (due to
heat
I assume).

Hope this helps,

Dave.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Probably stick them in the closet and lamps to be safe :)

The 2 I bought were NOT in cans and both failed over time.

I have purchased 6 and 4 have failed. The only working
ones I have are the newest model.

Yeah, mine ended up frying, though in my case the lamp
itself shorted and cooked the bulb. Thankfully that's
all that happened. Replaced with an appliance or lamp
link, forget which as I just turn stuff off and on.

So far, ALL of my Insteon bulbs have failed . Did not replace them. It was great for my family room where a single switch controls a bank of
4 recessed bulbs. With the individually addressable bulbs, I was able to setup all kinds of lighting scenes.

However, after the failures, I just went with normal LED's that are all controlled by the Insteon dimmer switch.

Dave.
