Hi. I have been running Powerhome for a couple of years now and find it very easy to use. However I am running 2 systems in my house, X10 and PLCBus. Of the two PLCbus is by far the more reliable. I own a native PLCbus USB interface but Powerhome does not currently support this protocol so I have to use an X10 to PLCbus translation unit which adds time to the reponse. I asked in September last year if it could be incorporated and was told it could. Is there any chance of this happening before the winter when lighting become more important. Here is a link to the product page which has a link to the protocol on it. It seems to be very close to X10
Thanks
Tim

Tim,
Ive got it on my to do list for the next beta (which should have been out at least a month ago ).
Not sure of my current timeframe since Ive made several commitments to people to have new features in the next beta and trying to squeeze them all in.
Hopefully I'll have 2.1.5 out before the end of the year.
Dave.

Thanks Dave. It will really help me out. At the moment I am using an X10 interface and a translation unit and this is slow. I have a PLCBus interface and have played with it using a Linux based system. It is much more robust than the X10 interface. For example I can plug it into sockets that when used with X10 don't work. I guess that either the PLCBus signal is stronger or more resistant to interference. For both these reasons I really want to use PLCBus.
Looking forward to the update
If you need me to beta test let me know !
Tim

Is there still no time frame for PLCBus implementation ? As we've discussed in the past it is very similar to x10
Thanks
Tim
