Hello,
I have 2 SL and a KPL in my Master Bedroom and one SL in the Master Bath. I'm trying to link a button (button 6) on the KPL to turn off the all the lights. I changed that button to be non toggle, off. I linked the 3 lights as responders to group 6.
For what it's worth, the other 3 buttons on the KPL control those loads independently (AKA, one button labeled "Fan Light", "Lamps", "Bathroom".) Am I correct that I need to crosslink those buttons to get them to correctly reflect the status of the other lights?
For one light (bathroom) the links work. I notices on this one, that the A Level/Ramp (I assume that's actual) set to 255/31, while the others set to 0/0. I'm a bit confused (more so even after reading the help) as to the desired/actual relationship. Can someone help me out?

For what it's worth, they are also listed as "Flagged Create", but no operations to create them are listed in "Pending Operations".
Am I missing some critical aspect of link creation?

Travis,
The Flagged Create and no pending transactions can only mean a couple of things. Check the "Devices" tab and make sure that the units in question are flagged "Active" and are not "Failed" (red background in "Clear Failed" column). If you they are failed, place a check in the "Clear Failed" column and save the changes.
If neither of these are the problem, the last thing that can cause this is that the "Poll Interval" is set to 0. This needs to be a positive value representing seconds between background operations such as creating links.
Concerning your KPL...if I understand correctly, 3 KPL buttons directly control 3 switchlincs. A 4th button set as non-toggle off controls all 3 lights. The problem is that when using the 4th button, the lights on the 3 KPL buttons are not properly controlled. To fix this situation, you need to use the KPL configuration tab and set the XOR checkboxes properly.
Just to make sure that everything else is properly setup, you would have crosslinks between the 3 KPL buttons and the switchlincs. Then you would have one way links from the 4th button to the SL's with the KPL as the controller (doesnt make sense to crosslink this back since it's one KPL button and multiple SL's. It's also an always off button). If all of the above is good, the last step is the KPL config and the XOR checkboxes.
Open the KPL config tab and read in the current KPL configuration. Under the Button 6 section (your all off button), place a check in the 3,4,5 checkboxes of the LED On section (I know, counterintuitive, but a check in the On box makes those buttons match the state of the controlling button...off in this case). Save the changes back. If Ive interpreted everything correctly, the KPL buttons 3, 4, and 5 will all switch off when the button 6 is pressed.
HTH,
Dave.

First off, thanks very much for the answer. I will echo what others have said...it's fabulous that the developer of this application monitors the forums. Kudos.
Yep, the devices tab was it. For whatever reason, PC interface device needed a power cycle as it wouldn't communicate with anything. I unplugged it, plugged it in and reset all the devices and it all worked like magic. The whole "on/off" button linking is still giving me fits, but that's just a trial and error thing. I keep changing my buttons, and that's not helping. I think I have it pretty much figured out now.
I have a couple more questions on scenes:
First, I'd like a scene button that turns some lights on and some off, but is not a toggle button. Does this mean I need the button to be non-toggle and On? I'd like to avoid having the light on, as I use 3 of the buttons for status and it kills my "glance to see if they are on" ability. Really, I'd like an on button that's not lit (does that make sense?). Am I crazy?
Second, can a secondary button be an On button to control scenes and turn off the primary? I think this has been answered (I know I can't control the dim level, but I don't know if "Off" is differant.) and the answer is that I need to go inline link or switchlink to make this work. Am I correct on that.
