After linking devices to the Controlinc using Power Home, the linked devices appear to behave as if the on level is configured at 0. Once you press the On button on the Controlinc, the light does not come on. However, if you hold the Controlinc On button down, the light becomes brighter as you would expect.
Also, if you hit the all lights on button on the Controlinc, the lights do come on at full strength.
The linked devices all report that their on level should be 100%, but the react as if their on level is 0%. Manual linking of the same devices results in the linked devices behaving exactly as you would expect. The lights ramp up to full power when tapping the on button on the Controlinc.

I'll check this out and see if I can reproduce the problem. It doesnt make sense right now because the actual level and ramprate are programmed in to the individual devices rather than the ControLinc. The ControLinc just sends a group "on" command.
Anyways, I'll look into this and let you know what I find out.
Thanks,
Dave.

This is similiar to what I saw when links went bad for me. Usually the links looked bad in PowerHome. The ramprate and level were both zero.
If it happens again you might try re-verifying the link before you delete and recreate it to see if the those values turn to zero. Maybe we can come up with a common set of symptoms.

I havent been able to reproduce this yet, but will try some more with the new version.
Has anybody else experienced this as well or have anything additional to add?
Thanks,
Dave.

Dave,
Interestingly enough, I am able to reproduce this issue with two seperate controlinc devices. The common factor here is that it only seems to happen when I use PH to link a key on the controlinc to an Icon lamp module. Linking it to a switch or KPL via PH seems to work great.
I can link the device manually and everything seems to work fine with the Icon lamp module.
Thanks,
Jim

Dave,
A bit more info on the issue after some experimentation.
I have been watching the DM window when I push the buttons linked to the Icon lamp module via SH. Interestingly enough, when I push and release the button, the DM receives NO commands. When I try the same thing with a button on the controlinc linked to a normal Insteon switch, you see the command in the DM as expected.
WHen I press and hold the button linked to the Icon lamp module, the DM records the traffic. It looks like this on a fade up:

Jim,
Sorry to take so long.
I just broke out my Icon lamp module and set it up. I auto-discovered it, created a link between my ControLinc (button 5) and the Icon and verified that my group level was 255 and group ramprate was 31. Saved and let PowerHome build the link.
Go to the ControLinc and press button 5 on and off and everything works as expected. Lamp comes full on everytime or .
When you view the PH created link in the Groups by Controller and hit "Reverify", does it come back as VERIFIED on the Icon? Also, does the level in the link show 255?
Dave.
