I'm having some problems with the VR, powerhome only seems to listen every now and then.
When it does listen the recognition works really good, but most of the time when I speak I don't even get a ? in the toolbar.
Is there any work-around or fix for this?

What is probably happening is another application is changing your microphone level settings or the input device for your sound card. In any event, the voice recognition and TTS modules are from Microsoft and other than making minor setting changes, are unchangeable.

We'll have to hope that Microsoft fixes this in future releases then.
It may be as you say that another program is changing the input device, but not the microphone level, I kept an eye on that during the test.
Another thing that might be connected to this is that I'm unable to use the speech-training from within powerhome, it won't accept any words. If I exit and start the training from the speech control panel it works like a charm.
I'm running windows 2000 with service pack 2 and almost all available hotfixes.
Other than this little problem and the winxp-problem I think you've created a terrific product! I've had my thoughts on programming something similar myself, but powerhome does everything I need and even a little more.
Regards,
Henrik
