Dave,
Is there a chance you can make input box where we can set the number of times a device has to not respond for the clear failed flag to be set?
I have several devices that keep getting marked failed, and would like to increase the threshold a bit higher. I've spent hours trying to get the devices to verified, but this is preventing me.

Fasttimes,
Your wish is my command . The next version now has a "Max Failures" setting so you can change the default (currently 2) to whatever value you like.

Why is this happening. I am trying to have no communication failures. Right now, I have one device that is starting to give me repeat problems (which I did not used to have). When I leave the program for a while, I get lots of comm failures.
What is causing it (I now that may be an impossible question). What can I do to fix it?

Heh,
Yes, that may be an impossible question . If it's just a single device, it could be the hardware of the device itself. It could be a distance issue or it could be another device in the area that is attenuating the signal.
Depending upon the type of failures, it may help to pinpoint the problem. If you're getting a lot of NAK's along with a lot of Event 03's (repeats), then my experience is that it may be a distance issue. If you're getting a lot of NAK's without a significant increase in Event 03's, then it's probably a noise or attenuation issue. If you've got an extra SignaLinc lying around, you may try plugging it in close to the problem switch.
Dave.
