Does anyone know of a dead bolt and/or door knob solution that can easily be
integrated with PH? Something with wifi perhaps. Specifically, I want to be able to
unlock my front door from PH. If it has a web server or even a generic network socket
server, I can make it work. I don't want something that is cloud based or requires you
to use a specific app on a phone, but rather something more "open".

I just received z-wave stuff on Friday and testing not
with PH yet.
Hoping Dave will support soon and mean while I can
come up with my solution to use it.
I went with Z-wave homeseer A2Z-link controller and
Yale YRD240-ZW-0BP
adding Z-wave alone is expensive - my reason I see so
much stuff out there for Z-wave it will be hard for
Insteon to keep it up.
with this Z-wave controller adding lock and using it
from there app it easy.
so far I can control the lock thru web app, sending
Json commands and with telnet were port remains open
and you get update right away, I don't have socket
client of my own yet.
p.s. I also wanted Not cloud base but rather control
it myself.

I use the PH plug-in for generic socket and was able to
to control the lock (also another Z-wave device) from PH
and got the trigger working. I will create another post
once I complete the testing.

Skip,
I was still using the Insteon morning link deadbolts but they just don't seem to hold up. I will probably migrate over to either a zwave (once I
finish the support) or wifi enabled solution.
Dave.

controller and PH.
its been working fine and now I have few z-wave
devices working PH also.

Can you share this plugin of yours with the community,
Nick? It sounds like just what I need.
