I enabled the WEB server (PH 1.02.2) and my phcommand.exe stuff stopped working. . . coincidence? Tried re-installing PH, turning WEB server off/on. Anyway how do I go about getting it to work again (I had worked fine for years before I touched it).

WOW, I had to dig deep in the way back machine (at least for me) on this  .
The only thing that I can find is possibly a port conflict between the Socket Server and the Web server. In the PowerHome Explorer (at least I think I had the Explorer in that version), check out the port settings for both the webserver and the socket server. Be sure that they are different. To make the phcommand work again, be sure and enable the Socket Server (since you reinstalled, the default is disabled) and make sure that the port, userid, and password all agree with the settings in your phcommand.ini file. Once this is all in agreement, things should start working again.

Once again you have saved the day. When I made the Web Server, Socket Server, and phcommand.ini all match, IT WORKS! I did set the user & password for the web server when I turned it on, but not to the same thing as the socket server. Just thought you might want to know. Keep up the good work! Great!! Glad to help. You'll want to change the port settings and make them different between the Socket Server and the Webserver if you have them the same since it'll cause a conflict (actually, I didnt even think it would startup if they were configured to use the same port).

Port numbers are and have been default (8500 & 8000). I don't want to be mean, but those two things (Socket Server & Web Server) having interacting User/pw seems like a bug to me. Thanks for a great piece of SW with world class support.

As long as the ports are different, then the userid/password can be either the same or different...they wont interact with one another (if they do, then it is indeed a bug and I would need to fix it).
You actually got me worried, so I just checked it and they are indeed coming from different sections of the pwrhome.ini file ([SocketServer] vs. [WebServer]) so all is good.
Let me know if you're seeing interaction between the two and we'll get it worked out.
