I have a switchlinc relay I just installed. I can control it with timmers, macro's, manually with PH ect..

I just cant get links working in insteon explorer for it. They remain flagged create for control link, and resp link, then when I check devices tab the switch is always disabled. I have cleared disabled and saved many times over the past few days. It has also not ever shown any clear failed, or clear comms, just keeps coming up disabled.

I am thinking if I can get it to quick going disabled that will probably solve my linking issues with it.

Anyone got any suggestions?

progas,

Nearly anytime an Insteon device gets immediately disabled, its due to a null setting in either the IEngine or Use Ext for ALDB column (these columns are all the way to right in Insteon Explorer on the Devices tab).

Easiest way to correct is to dropdown and change the IEngine to a value different from what is currently displayed and either check/uncheck the Use Ext for ALDB column. Save your changes by pressing the Save/Refresh button. After Saving, change the columns back to the appropriate values. Save the changes again. Now when you enable the device, it should stay enabled and the links should start writing.

Hope this helps,

Dave.
