Can any one tell me why this doesn't ad to my global variable "butt"

ph_setccbtnbcolor( 1, 1, 230 )+ph_delay( 500 )+ph_setccbtnbcolor(1,1,12632256)+ph_delay(500)+ph_setccbtnbcolor(1,ph_getglobal_n ( "butt" ),230)+ph_addtovar ( 3,("butt"), 1)

Everything works tell I get to  the addvar. Want to be able to scan through a set of buttons.

I believe you need to change "butt" to "{BUTT}".

So...

ph_getglobal_n( "butt" )

would be...

ph_getglobal_n( "{BUTT}" )

etc.

Heres what I have now:

ph_setccbtnbcolor( 1, 1, 230 )+ph_delay( 500 )+ph_setccbtnbcolor(1,1,12632256)+ph_delay(500)+ph_setccbtnbcolor(1,ph_getglobal_n ( "BUTT" ),230) +ph_addtovar ( 3,"{BUTT}", 1)

When I add the  +ph_addtovar ( 3,"{BUTT}", 1) I expected to have my Global variable increase by 1 but it stays the same. I wanted to use the Global variable to keep track of what button I'm on when scanning a group of buttons.

ph_addtovar is only for System variables.

I was wrong about the braces! Use this to increment...

ph_setglobal_a( "BUTT", ph_getglobal_n( "BUTT" ) + 1)
