I have noticed that when I have powerhome "TTS" the local weather forecast for me, while PH is TTS'ing, my ability to control my lights (PH insteon macro's) is stalled. Once the TTS finished, all the light macros then execute.
Is that normal/unavoidble? Not too big of a deal, just would like to program around it if possible.

I was under the impression that TTS runs as a “separate engine” or asynchronous. I have not experience the slowdown. Could it be the limitation of that particular system? I run on both a high speed x64 Win7 and an old x32 XP.

The default TTS functions (ph_tts and the Text to Speech macro command) should run asynchronous. I would verify that you're running SAPI 5 and not SAPI 4. There were new functions added that allows for TTS as synchronous (ph_ttsctrl and ph_ttssync). I was able to confirm this by having a messagebox popup immediately after calling ph_tts and the window opens before the TTS even starts.
