I received a “Start Man Chg” from pressing a 4 Off button on one of my ControLincs. It was immediately followed by a “Stop Man Chg”. The correct sequence is a Group 4 Off I pressed the 4 Off 5 different times and it showed up in the log as “Start Man Chg” each time. It was repeatable while the condition lasted but now I can’t seem to reproduce it. I tried pressing Dim and that didn’t reproduce it either.
Explanation of the commands:
17-Start Manual Change - Begin dimming or brightening until 18-Stop Manual Change received. Cmd2 is 1 for brightening, 0 for dimming.
18-Stop Manual Change - End dimming or brightening started with 17-Start Manual Change received.
Any thoughts what might have happened?

Start/Stop Man Chg is the normal bright/dim sequence when holding down a button. Sounds like the ControLinc was reacting as though the number 4 Off button was being held down when it was not. The decision to issue an On/Off sequence versus a Start/Stop Man Chg sequence is totally up to the individual controller. Maybe the 4 Off button was sticking On. Maybe the start of a ControLinc failure.

I now can reproduce it by holding the button down for about 5 seconds. As you indicated Lee, I may be seeing the start of a failure. The button wasn’t sticking because the log had 0 or 1 second interval between the Start and the Stop.

Sure sounds like the ControLinc was malfunctioning with such short log times. I know of no option that can make it operate in that manner. All that heat and humidity!

I’m too old for “heat and humidity” in the bedroom…

So I'm getting this from a -new- 4-device mini switch
controller (actually, 2 separate units) - I'm probably
holding down the button too
long. Still - is there any way to get Powerhome to
trigger on this the same way it would for Group On/Off?
I don't see Start/Stop Man Chg in the options on the
trigger menu. Thanks!
