I created some links on a device through another piece of software, and now I want PowerHome to update it's database. I thought I could simply go to the Links tab, select the device, and do a Reverify, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything when I click that button and Save.

 What am I doing wrong?

 Thanks!

I think you would want to enable link spidering for that.

OK...

So, I check off "Allow Link Spidering", I click on the device in the Links tab, I hit Reverify, and click Yes.

 Nothing seems to happen...

This seems like it should be a very basic function, I must be doing something wrong..

 Any other ideas?

 Thanks!

Actually, to re-scan a device for new links, open the Insteon Explorer and go to the "Devices" tab. Place a check in the "Scan DB" column for the device whose database you wish to rescan and press the "Save / Refresh" button.

Of course, "Poll Interval" must be greater than 0 (usually 10). If "Status Scan" and "Link Scan" are checked, PowerHome should have picked up the database changes automatically and rescanned the device for you (it may have taken it a few minutes if you have alot of devices).

 HTH,

 Dave.
