Got a 56K external robotics modem:
1) Where can I get the software for it? All I see is .INF sites. Surely I need more than this?
2)What is the INIT string to get it to work with caller ID in the UK?

The inf should let windows know what it is and what to do with it. Any modem enabled program should be able to work with it after that.
As for the INIT for caller ID in the UK, ya got me stumped. sry.

It's been better than 10 years since I so much as touched a modem. I would check around the usr site to see what kind of support files they still have up. A google search on the model name might yield useful stuff as well. I'd check on the site to make sure you have the right inf driver as well, from what I remember usr was surprisingly lazy about the drivers and you could easily load an inf from a different model on and it would "appear" to work right.

Got the modem installed, can make tel calls from it. Robotics own software doesnt seem to recognise it's existance.
Yesterday, my tel program EZ Voice was communicating with it albeit the caller ID function wasnt working. Now, EZ Voice wont even recognise it. Seems like a basic install problem. I dont believe just installing an INF is enough!
