Hi all. I just downloaded PH yesterday after reading the rave reviews on the Smarthome forum. I've only got a few Insteon devices installed right now, 1 kpd, 2 Switchlincs, 2 lamplincs, but I have a new house almost finished and I've got a whole box full of gear waiting for me to install there. Can't wait! Anyway, I installed these few things several months back to see how I like Insteon before ordering for the new house and of course I got hooked. Now, I'm trying to climb the PH learning curve before getting into more devices.

Well, I got PH up and I've discovered all the devices but that's as far as I've gotten. I can control them all from the Device tab but that's it. The links tab was all blank and I've tried creating but don't have a clue. Shouldn't my existing links be able to be pulled in?

Any help getting me going is appreciated!

Thanks!

OK. I have reds in the "clear failed" column. How do I get rid of those? I can control each device from PH so doesn't that mean they are comunicating?

Click on the check boxes and then refresh.

Sort of. This means that you have communication issues. After you clear those, see if you get any more failures (reds).

Are you using SignaLincs?

Hey Tony, thanks for the help.

I check all the boxes, hit Save/Refresh and things run for about 4-5 minutes and everything looks fine. If I hit Save/Refresh again, they all come back red.

Yes, I have two signallincs. My switches all work fine and have for months. I can control the switches on/off dim, etc from PH. The main thing I'm wanting to get is to be able to look at my existing network on PH and to be able to link devices without the tap-tap method.

Thanks again!

Getting closer! I was able to get them cleared, not sure what I did differently. Also was able to create a new link on group 3 of my keypad to turn the two switchlincs and two lamplincs on to 100 for TV viewing.

How do I get it to turn off the LEDs on buttons B,C & D when I press A to turn on group 3?

I don't have any keypads, so I don't know about those. Check around the board here; I know there are posts about them.
