How can you setup a Keypad linc, or any switch for that matter to turn on one device, then turn off others?

e.g. Button B on a keypad link should

Turn off the lights over the stairs
Dim the overhead lighs in the living room
Turn on the relay connected to the stero
etc.

I know this can be done with a macro, but isnt there a way to do this soley with links?

Fasttimes,

As far as I know, this is not possible without the use of PowerHome or other software. I agree this would be useful. If someday in the future Smarthome changes the firmware to allow a button to trigger other button's groups, this would be possible using non-toggle buttons, but for now, I think you are stuck using PowerHome to 'do it'.

Fasttimes,

If the device you're wanting to turn off is a dimmable light, then just set the level to 0. My understanding is that Insteon considers level 0 to be the same as OFF anyways.

If the desired device is not dimmable, then I think that you would have to use Cris' suggestions. I havent tried it, but it would be interesting to see what would happen with setting an appliance or relay module to a level of 0 from within a group. Might get lucky.

Dave.

I have tried setting the level of a SwitchLinc V2 Relay to 0 and it turns off and to 255 and it turns on both from a KeypadLinc button and a PLC group.
