I'm having some wierd issues. I have a 2414S hooked to an ELK M1 via M1XSP. All was working at first. I only had about 6 units in the ELK using the Tap-tap run all over the house method. Things abruptly stopped working a few days later so I decided to try PowerHome so I could put the devices where I wanted them in the ELK Lighting Unit #'s. I was able to get the 2414S talking to PowerHome and discover devices just fine but no links were showing up and I know I have a bunch of them so I looked in the SDM log an found this:

PLC:sendinsteonraw=True
ui:sendinsteonraw=00 00 00 00 1E 12 05 28 0F
si:00 00 00 00 1E 12 05 28 0F
PLC:ERROR=012:MapNotLoaded-PLC not connected or no valid map. Try using isResponding first.
PLC:sendinsteonraw=True

When I try isResponding I get a =true back but the above message logs over and over. I just received this Powerlinc a few weeks ago but I wonder if it's a bum unit; it won't even send X-10 signals from the ELK.

I have followed the suggestion in the post here: http://www.power-home.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=731
for clearing the database but no luck.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

What version is your 2414S? As I recall, the minimum was firmware 2.12, whcih has a sticker of 1.6. The version is visible in the SDM log.

Mine is firmware 2.13 and a Rev 1.9 sticker.

I no longer have PLC eror=12 but now have a log that looks like this:

PLC:receiveinsteonraw=02 04 48 0D 00 00 01 CF 13 00
PLC:eventraw=01
PLC:receiveinsteonraw=01 04 48 0D 05 06 66 45 13 01
PLC:eventraw=01
PLC:receiveinsteonraw=01 04 48 0D 05 06 66 4A 13 01
PLC:eventraw=01
PLC:receiveinsteonraw=01 04 48 0D 05 06 66 4B 13 01
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=01
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=03
PLC:eventraw=01
PLC:receiveinsteonraw=01 05 06 66 04 48 0D 6B 13 01
PLC:receiveinsteonraw=01 04 48 0D 05 06 66 4F 13 01

The links I created in PowerHome are still showing "Flagged Create" so maybe it's hanging on a device but I don't recognize any addresses in the log?

Opie,

The map problem would have had to do with the SDM version you're using. You've got a newer version of the SDM the appropriate map file needs to be in the MAPS subdirectory under your Device Manager directory. It looks as if you've got this worked out though.

The SDM log snippet you've posted is showing commands being received by the PLC. What you've posted is a group OFF command coming from device 04.48.0D being sent to it's group 1. This is followed by several group cleanup commands being sent. I don't see any attempts from PowerHome to communicate in the snippet.

Let me know if you're still having a problem.

Dave.
