I am trying to make a secondary button on am Insteon KPL control the main load on the same KPL. I have made a link from the secondary button (in this instance 3) to the main load, but it does not work.
I have noticed that on the controller screen I get a "not found" message in the "controller status" field. I am able to control the load on a switchlink successfully with the same secondary button, so I think the KPL is working correctly.
Any thoughts?
TIA.
Mike

I have a hunch it cannot be done. Someone indicated such on another board where I posted this question.
I suppose I could write a trigger in PH that watches for the button press and then have PH send the commands to dim the local load...

Mike,
Secondary KPL buttons can control the main load (on and off) but cannot change the level. In addition to creating the link using the Create/Add/Clone util, you'll need to use the KPL Config Util to set the exclusive OR functions.
Ive informed SmartHome of this problem but doubt it will be fixed since there seems to be limited memory in the KPL.
You should be able to do as you describe though and create triggers in PowerHome to set the main load to the desired level.
Dave.

Dave--
I'm having a little trouble with the exclusive or functions...I'll see if I can find a thread that explains them better.
I'm sorry to hear it is unlikely to be fixed! Here's keeping the fingers crossed.
Thanks as always.
Mike
