Hi-
I've finally got my system up and running, and have a few questions.
Each one of my porch lights has a keypadlinc dimmer. Obviously, that's button 1 on the keypad. Button 2 is lableled "Outside All". When I programmed the keypad with the TAP TAP method, I could crosslink the two buttons so that when OUT ALL was pushed, button one would illuminate as well (since the outside porch light was now switched on). Furthermore, other keypads lights would illuminate mimicking the status of that button. How can I do this in Powerhome?
Also, if your keypad linc is set to 6 button configuration, are the buttons 1-6 on Powerhome?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
Easy question first...regardless of what mode the KPL is in, PowerHome always treats the buttons as 1 thru 8. This is easy to see on an 8 button KPL. On a 6 button KPL, the top button is 1 and 2 (you'll only refer to it as 1), the 4 small buttons are 3,4,5, and 6. The large bottom "off" button is still just thought of as part of button 1.
Linking and crosslinking KPL's can all be done from the "Create/Edit/Clone" window in PowerHome. Be sure to scroll the left hand "responder" window all the way to the right so you can set level, ramprate, and the KPL button number.
The trickier part is intrabutton KPL linking. Intrabutton linking is primarily done through the KeypadLinc Configuration Utility (right-click a KPL in the Insteon Devices screen). This is where you can control how all the buttons react to one another lightwise. If you have a non-load controlled button (buttons other than number 1) control the load button (button 1), then you'll need to make a link for this as well. If the load button is controlling a non-load button, then you can do this just in the KPL Config Util.
It's a little tricky at first, but once you get used to it, no big deal. Let me know if you encounter any problems and I'll be glad to help.
Dave.

Dave-
Hi. I guess I'm not quite clear on getting the button LED's to follow each other. I can clone one keypad button to another, but am not having luck with the cloned buttons illuminating correctly. Could you perhaps provide an example?
Thanks!
Matt

Matt,
It would probably be difficult to explain (in email or written form). Send me an email and I'll try to schedule a time when perhaps I can remote into your machine (using VNC) and show you what Im talking about.
Dave.
