The latest version of the SDM (version 227) has been posted and is now available for download from here: http://www.power-home.com/download/sdm227.zip.
As usual, the proper method to install this is to either delete or rename your old SDM directory default located at c:\program files\powerhome\smarthome\device manager. Next unzip, the above file using the "paths" option into the same location. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the new unzipped Device Manager Directory. Manually launch the SDM3.exe file. Verify at the top that the version is 226. Shutdown the SDM. Start PowerHome. PowerHome should automatically launch the new proper version.
Check it out and let me know if any of the reliability issues have been resolved or not.
Dave.

Dohh!!
SmartHome has the filename listed as 227 and posted it on their website that way as well. But you're right...the version at the top is 226. Not sure if they just forgot to change the window title or they mislabeled it or what. In any event, it's the latest version and Ive corrected my post.
Thanks for catching this,
Dave.

Todd,
Keep me posted. It would be great if this version ends up solving all of the reliability issues with the SDM. If I remember correctly, you've got background polling turned off so it may take longer for a problem to appear (knock on wood that it doesnt ).

Thats awesome news!! Looks like SmartHome may have finally eliminated some of the SDM instabilities.
However, have you noticed any difference in speed? Ive had one use say that he can see a decrease in speed over the previous SDM. What he is doing is using the PLC to receive an X10 command, PowerHome fires a trigger and sends an Insteon command. The previous version did this in 1 second and it appears that the 226/227 version is now taking 4. Would be interested in hearing anyone elses results.
Dave.

Im not sure what my problem is, but I beleive PH seems slower then usual. OH is taking 2 min to send out an email(from trigger to receive) and I know some is network traffic but I am trying to figure to at out first before I can assess the sdm.

Todd,
What is "OH"? Also, check the eventlog and look at the difference in times between when the trigger was received, the firing of the macro, and the other commands. If the other commands are not logged, then you can always place a ph_usermessage as the last line of the macro to know when the macro actually finished.
