Not sure who would be interested but just saw that the new Insteon Hub has an introductory price of only $39.99 at SmartHome. I went ahead and ordered myself a spare at this price.
***Edited out the comments explaining what an Insteon Hub is and that PowerHome supports it. This *new* version of the hub appears to be an entirely different animal without X10 support or ethernet PLM support. In other words, PowerHome WILL NOT work with this device (nor does HouseLinc or any other home automation software besides the tablet and smartphone based apps).
Sorry for getting anyones hopes up. It may still be useful as a backup standalone Insteon control device.
Dave.

I was thinking to order but somewhere I read that
(2245-222 HUB)
it was only cloud supported (you don't need to open
ports on your firewall)
not supported by houselink.
that mean that it may not have a port for PH to work
with it.
all the above were just a post from some other forum.
any one else have any more info.
Nick

Nick,
Just started researching this and it appears you are correct. The new Insteon Hub II DOES NOT SUPPORT BEING USING AS AN ETHERNET PLM!!! WTH are they thinking??
Based upon this new info, I DONT recommend buying this new hub unless you just want a standalone backup. It appears that it cant be used with PowerHome, HouseLinc, or any of the other more advanced home automation packages.
Wish I hadnt of ordered it now but will report back my findings after it arrives.
Sorry for leading anyone astray.
Dave.
