I'm using ph_sendsmtpemail, but, it's still hanging up when I send mail. Today, Outlook stuck right after sending an email, and, I came home to find a message box about compacting messages. Once I clicked through that, PH started running again. Interestingly, timed events seem to have still been processed during this time.
Any ideas?

Tony,
Not sure why this would be happening. The ph_sendsmtpemail function has no connection to Outlook at all (it uses a raw socket to connect to your SMTP server to send the email). The ph_sendemail function of course uses your default MAPI client which in your case would be Outlook. The ph_processemail function also uses the MAPI client if you're using that function.
Looking at your eventlog screenshot, you've got to be using the ph_sendemail function as the ph_sendsmtpemail??? functions do not make an eventlog entry.
Dave.

Holy cow. I just noticed that I had the SendSMPTPemail function in a Send Email block.
Sorry!
