I'd like to have an in-wall (that is mounted so it can't
leave) touch screen device.
In my ideal world, when it's idle it would display a few
days of weather information, maybe a slide show of
pictures. When touched it would give me full control of
lights (and ideally my whole home audio (squeezeserver),
which PH can already control, also can be controlled by
Socket and HTML commands)
What's important to me is response time. I don't really
think that a web browser version is really going to run
the way I want. If it's windows based I'd probably make
a custom .net application for it and I'm pretty sure
that's plenty fast, but seems like then I've got some
serious coin into it.
It seems to me that this would be a killer application
and it's a little surprising that such a device doesn't
already exist.
