I’d like to introduce PHMobile, an app I wrote for my fellow Windows Phone 7 users. This release supports Insteon and X10 devices in addition to viewing globals and playing macros. Check it out in the marketplace. It’s free and without ads.

PHMobile talks to PowerHome’s web server. Just give it the address, username + password, and it does the rest so you are ready to go out of the box. As far as customizing how things are displayed, you can easily reorder anything by holding and dragging. By default it applies the same filter you’ve specified in PH’s Device Status window to the list of devices, and only shows macros with a check mark in their List column, though you can turn off both of these settings and show everything.

This started, as I bet many of these projects do, as an app I was writing for myself, which I decide to pretty-up (to the best of my ability) and make generic enough (I hope) for others to use. I would love to hear any feedback folks have and also happy to hear feature requests for future releases.

Version 1.2 is in the marketplace now. It includes a few bug fixes, including a nasty crash if your PowerHome server isn't the same locale as your phone, and better logging and error reporting. I also added support for viewing upcoming timed events.

PHMobile 1.2
