I'm currently running the 2.1b version of PowerHome and
think I may have to replace the PLM. Is the new dual band
2413s PLM compatible?
Also, I understand that the new PLM's are limited to 1000
links, this is a large installation with many many links.
Is there a way to determine the total number of links
present in the current installation?

The 2413 Dual Band is compatible with PH. The Serial interface to the 2413 PLM is the same between a 2412 and 2413. In fact the new 2413 PLM will be identified as a 2412 to PH
Unlike the ISY PH does not create tons of link records to support every conceivable situation for which the vast majority of links are never used. Not likely a PH installation will exceed the capacity of the 2413 PLM. Short of selecting the PLM as the Current Device and counting the number of Controller and Responder links I do not know an automated way. If you have the ability to write an application that interfaces to the PLM I can give you the commands to issue to read each link record so that the application can count them.

Thanks Lee,
I checked the device links report and at the end it says
that there are currently 1525 links total.
I maintain this installation for someone else and there
really are quite a few devices! Looking through some of
the groups I see things like "all basement", "all first
floor", and "all upstairs". I'm sure I can trim some out
but to get rid of 500 or so links might be hard.
I'm going to have to stop by there to see if maybe there
isn't a spare 2412s in stock. I think this one is
starting to go on me. When ever I log in lately I find
that the PLM is "failed" in the device list and the
Event03's have gotten out of hand.

You are looking at the PLM link count, not the Total Link Count at the end of the report.

Total link record number is the total of all link records in ALL devices. Scroll through the report and find the PLM for the number in the PLM itself.

Ahhhh, I see now. the PLM has 559 Links so I guess the new
2413 will work.
Thanks Lee

The 2413 PLM will work fine. There is 40% of available space remaining with a 2413. It has a faster processor and some folks have reported seeing faster device response in situations where large numbers of link records are being processed (as compared to a 2412).
