Hello PH forum,

This is my first time setting up home automation and I've gone ahead and purchased 18 WS13a x10 wall switches (found here) so that I can use the 200 free cfl bulbs I have in my house. I also purchased 20 ActiveEye MS16A motion sensors to turn on lights when someone comes in the room. I purchased the cm15a interface that came with the activehome pro software. I went ahead and picked up a cm17a firecracker because I wanted to start getting my feet wet with powerhome.

I haven't set anything up yet as I'm getting everything in the mail this thursday. I really want to purchase powerhome and begin using it as soon as possible, however using the firecracker seems extremely limiting seeing as how it would only be "one-way".

What would you recommend I purchase as an interface that would work with my light switches and motion sensors while allowing 2 way capability with powerhome. Is there anything else I would need or any forseeable problems you think I may run into? I want to purchase everything now while I still have the available funds and my electrician friend is still available to help.

Sorry for the long post, all this stuff is very confusing when you're first starting out. :P

Welcome!

I believe the WS13A's are not two-way switches, if that is what you mean.

As far as a PLC goes, I see that the CM15A does not look to be supported. You could get an Insteon PLM and use it just for your X10, but the PLM's X10 "volume" is not the greatest.
