So I'm away from home, and my PC did it's normal Friday night reboot. Except, after rebooting, the PC can no longer communicate with the PLC, which is connected to one of the main USB ports on the back of the PC. So every time PH tries to do something, I get an Email that it failed.
This has happened to me about 3-4 times in the last 3 months (maybe coincidence, but only since I upgraded to PH 2.0), and all I have to do to fix it is unplug and re-plugin the PLC (i'm thinking of plugging the PLC into a lamp timer, so it's power-cycled every 24 hrs...).
I'm not sure where to go with this. PLC works fine otherwise, and is out of warranty. Can I fix this with SW? Should I shell out for a new PLC, or a PLM, and hope that I don't get any new problems with it? Should I go back to PH1 and see if that fixes it? (obviously I need to disable PC reboot when I travel, but that's a workaround)
Any/all thoughts appreciated.
Thanks
/j

Dunno if it is any help, but, this is one of the reasons I moved to the PLM.

Actually - it looks like an issue with USB on power up- see my new, better directed thread
