What if anything needs to be done in programming for the SAI dual load US22-40 switches? it does not respond to signals from PH. I updated Upstart and re exported and then reimported into PH, deleating the old data and still doesnt control the loads. Any Ideas Dave?

Todd,
Are you still having a problems? If so, is it just direct commands, link commands, or both? Does the switch respond to link/direct commands from other switches?
Let me know,
Dave.

currently Dave this is direct communications from the device status window. I will try links though.
Communications from the PLC to the device works in Upstart.
edit:
With a formula goto command link works to goto 100 % but not back to 0
and direct communications goto command fails.

in talking to SAI about this switch for other reasons. I was given the following information which may help you with explaining this problem.
Quote:
If I send a direct device command to a US22 from another switch nothing happens at the US22. This is how the US22 should respond because a standard switch command sends channel 00 or no channel info at all. The US22 responds to channel 01 and 02.

Todd,
Im not sure what the data looks like from UPStart for the US22 but I would think it would have the channel information. To try and get this going, open the PH Explorer and navigate to Devices|UPB|Units. Find the US22 and see what the "Channel" column looks like (5th column). Try different values here (and save before testing...F5) to see if we can get the switch to respond.
Dave.

All the data for this device shows up as ch 1 and ch 2.
All the other UPB devices show up as ch 1 also. I have not had any luck getting it to respond. Maybe this weekend.

Todd,
Ive been working this issue and have found a BUG!! The current version of PowerHome will indeed have problems with multi-channel UPB devices. However, the problem seems to be a little different than your experience. With the current version, if you control either channel 1 or channel 2, BOTH channels should respond together. In my testing, I was unable to get independantly control channels 1 and 2.
This bug is now fixed (in the upcoming version) but it sounds as if you've still got a different problem. To see an example of the bug Ive fixed, just try to control either the channel 1 or channel 2 device from the Device Status screen. Both channels (in my environment) were controlled together.
Let me know if you're seeing anything like this or not.
Thanks,
Dave.

Sorry for the delay Dave, both channels are indeed NOT being controlled as you experence. is there a beta or alpha of the new version I can test to tell you if it is working correctly or not? is there any data I can provide to help you out?

Todd,
Try the ph_upbraw command from PH Multi-Editor. An example is here:
ph_upbraw("UPB",44,10,1,34,0,255)
The "UPB" is the ID of the UPB controller. 44 is my network ID, 10 is my unit ID, 1 is my channel. 34 is the "Goto" command, the next parameter should be 0 (for full off) through 100 (for full on). The last parameter is the ramp rate which you should leave at 255 for the default ramp rate.
Try this for each channel and if it works, then the problem is definately associated with the channel/ramprate issue that Ive fixed in the upcoming beta.
Dave.
